Laura’s Story

The decision to start the JNF came after founder and mother Laura Nolan lost her son to suicide.

Having experienced first hand the trauma, she wanted to turn that into something that would be a legacy for Josh.

Laura Nolan lost her son to suicide in 2013, and this inspired the creation of the Joshua Nolan Foundation (JNF) in 2015.

Laura waited what felt like a lifetime to speak with a trained professional. When Laura eventually got in front of a therapist 18 months later, it was apparent that they were not trained to deal with the bereavement and trauma of losing a son.

Laura’s journey was long and difficult, and with this in mind, she established JNF for others like her; and for individuals who are struggling with their mental health and have suicidal thoughts.

Life can be difficult, but you are not alone. Joshua Nolan Foundation is here to support you.
